¥. 35. And alfo the burnt-offerings were in abundance with ihe fat of the peace offerings, and the drink-offerings for every burnt-offering, &c.] Befides the abundance of burnt-offerings,. whofe fkins were to be taken off, there were meat-offerings and drink-offerings to each, which required many hands to prepare them; and alfo the fat.of the peace-offerings was to be burnt; which, all together, occafioned a great deal of bufinefS: the fervice of the houfe of the Lord was fet in order 3 both for facrifice and finging; a good beginhing was made, and there was a good foundation laid to’ proceed on. _ ¥. 36. And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, &c.] To fee things go on fo well, which foreboded good unto them: and particularly, that God had prepared the people; difpofed and directed their hearts in fuch a manner, as to yield fuch a chearful obedience to the will of God, and fhew fuch a hearty regard to his worfhip and fervice, and the reftoration of it: for the thing was done fuddenly; whereby it the more appeared, that they were under a divine influence; which fo quickly and powerfully wrought upon them to engage in this work, and needed not arguments and perluafions to bring them to it.
